Into the Meadow

There was a rustle in the brush that bordered the wide open meadow. A light shape eased away from the woods and moved into the clear space. The sun felt warm on his back after traveling in the shade for so long. At the top of a small rise the light grey wolf sat down, his tail curling around his forepaws. He was slender and looked a little ragged, as though he had been traveling a while. He knew he had trespassed into the territory of a pack and listened closely in case any of those wolves should appear. They had a wonderful territory that brimmed with everything a wolf could want.
Could it be time to quit wandering through the woods?
Would they let him?

Yuriah's eyes closed to the barest slits as he enjoyed the warm sunshine. He was a not-quite-white wolf on a green hill; he felt confident that someone would discover him shortly.

(Sorry for any confusions, it doesn't have to work that way.. I'll throw Namara in here however Smile

Any wolf can thread anywhere they want when they want to. What it is that if you were looking to join, you'd have a separate joining thread that we join into. I was planning on making a guide soon to prevent this form of confusion.)

Namara had just been through a successful pack hunt, her stomach full to the brim with the bull her and her packmates had taken down. She let her eyes close in satisfaction as the wind bellowed her fur around her. Her eyes opening to turn to the breeze. A scent came upon her and she froze. Another wolf, male by the smells She thought, instinctively she crouched down, hiding in brambles that covered her scent. She watched the wolf carefully. He was a loner no doubt. What was he worth? Perhaps he was Rapid Creek material.

(Ooc: Ok, no worries... I just didn't want to do anything wrong! I think that a guide would be a good idea!)

The stranger's ear twitched in the light breeze. Was that...? One grey eye opened, then the other, and he scanned the edges of the meadow without letting on that something had changed. And then suddenly he wasn't sure. Had he really smelled something? There was the smell of brambles, but...

He crouched down, his lip curling as a growl rumbled low in his chest. The bright green grass didn't even cover him a little bit. But he didn't much like the idea of being spied on. Knock, knock. He spoke softly, half to himself, as he eyed the woods, waiting to catch a glimpse of whatever had put him on edge.

Walking through the meadow,he noitced Namara. He smiled,then halted. He smelled something unfamiliar. He blinked and crouched. He looked around for the sight of the wolf. He thought he saw a gray pelt. He blinked. Then heard it say "Knock,Knock." He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Well,I'd rather have a name than a joke,wolf." He grinned,and watched carefully.

Namara let out a small snicker as Fang replied with a witty comment. Her tail fell flat and she looked at them. "Hello Fang." She said, flicking her ears to nod in a sense to let him know that she was acknowledging arrival.

Nodding to Namara,he glanced back at the gray wolf. He then stood up. "Who are you?"

Snowflower arrived shortly behind Fang. She smiled at the new wolf.
